This pit with collected bones from the monks that died over the years was the big surprise while visiting this beautiful monastary in Lima the cappital city of Peru. I was even allowed to take photo's as much as I wanted, creating an ungoing memorie of the died monks!

Photo taken with Nikon F801, 28mm lens and Fujicolor ISO 400 film.

From the thumbnail I was guessing that it was a close up of the center of a woven basket, then I read the title and clicked on it

Looks like you didn't have a good light source, you did an amazing job all the same

The pattern made with the bones is pretty and a small culture shock too

You were right. I only had some dimmed orange lamp hanging above the pit :)

Hi, there is a mistake in the description of the photo, Quito is the capital of Ecuador and Lima is the capital of Perú, both countries have a similar culture. I live in Quito (Ecuador) and I don´t know where did you take the pic. Maybe could be in Lima (Perú;) and not in Quito????. Nice pic.

I could not believe miselve. The photo is taken in Lima in Peru and not in Quito. I have been in both places so I have no clue what mixed me up in the description. You are the first one to noticed so thank you so much for that. I correct this immediately. Thanks again :)
